Let's talk Plastic

There has been a lot of talk about our planet recently. With the Green New Deal frequently being talked about on the news, talking about the plastic waste that is entering our oceans to be a relevant topic to discuss. As of May 10th 180 countries are considering a plastic waste agreement. Here we will dive into the data for each country and show how they consume and discard plastic waste. Hopefully the goal, is to inform others about their decisions to be at least cognizant of their use of single-use plastic since it can have a detrimental effect on the environment.

I like writing code, getting stuck, overcoming, and completing something from the ground up. I am a team player, with proven leadership, and an independent worker.

I consider myself a bit more conscious in ecology than some of my peers. I chose this dataset to explore the relationships of countries and their plastic waste disposal and its effects on the ocean. We can see a range of things from this dataset, like which country is contributing the most waste, or where the pollution is going. I am hoping, that this dataset would allow me to discover new insights on the plastic problem our environment is currently facing.
