Summary: This visualization shows the average response time
in minutes for 4 most frequent call types and all neighborhoods that the SF Fire Department responded to in January 2019.
Interpretation:
In
visualization 1
you can see the four most common incident calls which were: medical incident, alarms, structure fire, and
structure fire.
In visualization 2
you can see average response time in minutes for all call types.
To dive deeper into the data, in Vis 3, I selected 4 most frequent call types and display the response time in all neighborhoods.
From this graph, we can compare the response time in different neighborhoods for different call type.
As you can see, response time for Structure Fire in Mission Bay & Treasure Island & Presideio is tremondously slower than others.
Interactivity:
Hover over the colorful rectangles, specific info would be displayed below the graph, which shows the Call Type, Neighborhoods and Avg. Response Time.
It's helpful for users to understand which square represents what(In prototype the Neighborhoods is hard to read).
