Why I Chose Building Permits Dataset

For me personally, I enjoy searching Zillow to see what houses are on the market close to me and look at trends in prices/ availability. As I was looking for a dataset I came across the buildings permits dataset through DataSF. This really interests me because I can pull out trends in upgrades, modifications, or new building permits and hopefully come to some interesting conclusions. I was also an economics major for my Bachelor's and economic indicators were very interesting to me and I felt that I could apply some of that logic to this dataset as well.
